Pray for Peace in our World
Thank you for praying with us during this time of war in our world. We pray for the Lord to give Ukrainians hope and peace and to give Russians transformational love. We pray for wisdom and a desire for justice for the nations of the world.
"Eternal God, in whose perfect kingdom no sword is drawn but the sword of righteousness, no strength known but the strength of love; so mightily spread abroad your spirit that all peoples may be gathered under the banner of the Prince of Peace, as children of one father. Guide the nations of the world into the way of justice and truth and establish among them that peace which is the fruit of righteousness, that they may become the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen "

GLOBAL PARTNERS
Malawi from Bishop Fanuel:
- We are thankful the current Covid-19 pandemic has been contained for now. Pray with us for an improvement in livelihoods in our country.
- We thank God for the progress on the radio house project. We continue to pray for this project so we can complete the studio and be on the air unlike now when we are just doing prerecorded programs.
- There has been a case of polio which has caused the government to call for a Public Heath concern. Pray for us as we are beginning a campaign to encourage mothers to bring their children to vaccination which is available but some have started to neglect.
- We have now released activities for the renewals like Cursillo and Happening now that the Covid-19 situation has been less threatening. Pray for God's blessings and protection on these gatherings. May they bring refreshment and renewal to our congregations.
- We join all who are praying for the peace of the world particularly in the current Russia/Ukraine conflict and that in some parts of Africa.
La Gran Familia (LGF) from Barbara Hautanen:
- Pray for all those who feel sad and alone in the community of Cuauhtémoc. Pray for those who suffer from cold, hunger and lack of work. May the Church help them discover the Love of Christ and His Peace.
- Pray for the Holy Spirit to enlighten the minds of each student at LGF so that they may continue to learn and be strong Christians.
- Pray with the staff and children of LGF for God to enlighten the minds of the rulers of the countries, so that peace can be restored in the world.
Myanmar from Bishop David Nyi Nyi Naing in Diocese of Mandalay:
- By the grace of God, Homelni Archdeaconry will become a Missionary Diocese this year. The Consecration service of the Reverend Alan Kyaw Myo Naing as the Missionary Bishop of Homalin Missionary Diocese was on Sunday, February 27, 2022. He will be installed as the bishop in Homalin in March. With thanksgiving, please pray for provision and blessings for Bishop Alan as he begins his episcopacy.

- The Anglican Relief and Development Fund (ARDF) has a $10K matching grant for food and Covid relief funding in Myanmar. Pray for generous givers and for the Church in Myanmar as they respond to the physical needs of the people. Click Here for More

FOR THE PERSECUTED AND SUFFERING
Church in DRC:
- The Reverend Bisoke Balikenga reports on the ongoing civil war in the Congo. There is relative peace in Bunia where the Peace Center is refuge for many displaced and traumatized people, but surrounding villages continue to be attacked. We are encouraged that the government officials are currently negotiating with the rebels in the region. If an agreement can be made the six government officials kidnapped in February will be released. Continue to pray for peace in the Congo. Pray for those who have been displaced and for Bisoke and the Peace Center, as they respond to the great needs of the people.

FOR UKRAINE
From Archbishop Foley Beach:
Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Lenten Greetings in the Name of Christ Jesus! As we begin our Lenten pilgrimage, let us not ignore the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding before our eyes in Europe. Our hearts are breaking at the scenes of Ukrainians under attack from Russian forces with bombs landing in neighborhoods, schools, and playgrounds. Many of us have family and friends living and working in Ukraine or serving with the local church.
As the crisis intensifies and Ukrainians fight for their lives, more and more Ukrainians are being displaced and made homeless. Others will be without basic necessities like water, shelter, and food as basic infrastructure is destroyed. The Anglican Relief and Development Fund (ARDF) has mounted a campaign to raise funds to help. Please consider helping today by clicking here.
