FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH
Church in China:
China is the modern world surveillance state, where through advanced facial recognition technology (and even gait recognition technology), the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) watches everyone! Individuals can be locked out of their bank account, be blocked from travel, or even lose their Social Security payment. Pastors from house churches are often arrested and imprisoned for many years. Children under the age of 18 are not allowed to attend church, and they are trained in the public schools to hate God and love the CCP.
- Pray with congregations whose church building have been closed — that they would be emboldened to meet in homes and increasingly grow in their faith. Pray against the trend of forced worship of Xi Jinping in the state churches.
- Pray for supernatural intervention in the hearts of leaders. Pray that Xi Jinping and other Party officials will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and put their trust in Jesus.
- Pray that God would empower his church in China to reach the next generation. May God speak to their hearts even as the state attempts to stop or thwart their exposure to Jesus. May God raise up leaders from this persecuted generation.
Church in Pakistan:
We stood in prayer together following the attack last August on the Jaranwala community, in which a mob of radical Muslims burned more than 200 homes and two dozen churches. We now have reports that there have been recent attacks on a Christian community in Sargodha. Islamic radicals are mercilessly beating the elderly on false blasphemy accusations. The existence of Pakistan’s blasphemy laws sends a message to Islamic radicals that this mob violence is justified. The laws are used as a weapon against Christians and allow this behavior to continue among Pakistan’s most vulnerable communities. Click Here For More
- Please pray that this Christian community will be strengthened through our prayers. (Jude 20- 22)
- Pray that they will experience God’s comfort when their family members are killed, injured or imprisoned for their witness (2 Cor. 1:3-5).
