FOR THE SUFFERING CHURCH
Church in the Democratic Republic of the Congo:
Many continue to seek refuge from the desperate situation in the Congo where rebels destroy villages, kidnap, and kill. The need for around the clock prayer, trauma healing, reconciliation and peace is crucial for the many suffering in and around Bunia. The Rev. Bisoke Balikenga, a recent guest of our diocese, shared with us his dream for a House of Prayer at the Peace Center. Anglican Relief and Development (ARDF) has offered to help build this structure that will also accommodate the now 400 worshipers.
- Please pray for the Prince of Peace to reign in the Congo.
- Pray for the $16K necessary to begin this project at the Peace Center where many will be touched and healed.
- May this House of Prayer be a beacon of light in the darkness and may it bring amazing comfort and hope to many who might feel that evil is winning!
Church in Sudan from AFM Missionaries Luke and Abby:
We are calling for prayer and fasting for Sudan this month. April marks the one-year anniversary since the war in Sudan began, and even now the fighting continues to rage throughout the country. This conflict has caused a great humanitarian crisis with more than 10,000 killed and 5.6 million displaced. Bishop Abdu expects that many more internally displaced peoples will be coming to Port Sudan soon.
- Please pray with us that this senseless violence will stop.
- Pray for peace.
- Pray for the healing of the lives that have been torn apart over the past year.
- Pray that the millions who have no other place to go will run into the arms of the only One who can truly bring them peace, hope, and restoration.
