Blessed Advent and Holy Christmastide
What a privilege it is to Join our Hearts in prayer, expectation and adoration with the Church around the world during this season of Advent and Christmastide.
Many Christians will gather in places of worship filled with lights and music while others will be hidden away in secret; nevertheless, all will bow down to honor our King who has come to be amongst us. May the Light that came into the world as a babe in a manger shine in the hearts of all mankind.

GLOBAL PARTNERS
Malawi from Bishop Fanuel:
- Let us pray for the renewal of hearts as we celebrate the advent of the Lord. As we meditate, please pray for many to open up their minds and hearts to use the sacrament of reconciliation during this advent season.
- It is the rainy season. There is information from the metrological department that Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe are in the line of six cyclone strikes. Join us in prayers that the grace of God will be with us and that we are spared from these events.
- We are still far from reaching the goal of completing the building and studios of the radio project. Please continue to pray for the completion of the building and pray for the radio station to be a tool for evangelization beyond the confine of denomination as we are reaching out to more than Anglican members.
La Gran Familia (LGF) from Director Martin Cordova:
- Our dioceses has once again received a 2 for 1 Challenge by an anonymous donor to collectively raise $8000 by December 31st to be matched with another $4000. This year’s contributions will go towards a van for transporting the 40+ children at LGF. Pray for God’s favor and provision for this initiative as we continue our support of the children of LGF.
Myanmar from Bishop David Nyi Nyi Naing in Diocese of Mandalay:
In 1970 the Anglican Church in Myanmar became an independent Province of the Anglican Communion and now numbers six dioceses and three missionary dioceses. The isolation of Myanmar from 1966 until 1987, its borders were closed and it still quite difficult to reach has meant that the only way that we can express our partnership with the Church is through prayer. Please join us in this endeavor. Now the country is under the Military Coup and people are suffer and the civil war is in every part of the country.
- Please pray for the Hpa-an Diocese, Bishop Mark Maung Do, standing committee, department of Man Association, MU(Mother Union) AYPA(Anglican Young People Association) and Education and Religious Education Department( Children Ministry), office staff, priests and people
- Pray for the Mother’s Union. Give thanks for its witness and pray for its teaching and concern for Spiritual growth, the Heads of Department of Province Office and the Diocesan Offices.
- May the Prince of Peace reign in Myanmar. May the Gospel spread and Jesus be known.

FOR THE PERSECUTED AND
SUFFERING CHURCH
Church in Nigeria:
- Conversations about the state of democracy in Nigeria are being held at the US Institute of Peace this month. Pray for truth and accountability to be revealed. Pray for a free and fair process that ushers in a democratic renewal in Nigeria in the upcoming General Election on February 25th. Click Here for More
- Archbishop Ben Kwashi asks for our continued prayers for his country. Please pray for Christian Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed. We pray for a much need miracle for Nigeria and the Christian Persecution that continues. Click Here for More
Church in South Sudan:
- Extreme flooding has displaced hundreds of thousands of people in South Sudan. Over 900,000 people have been affected. Those living in flood-affected areas have lost their homes and live in makeshift camp sites. They face food insecurity, loss of income, malnutrition, and a lack of clean drinking water. Pray for the Church and Bishop Abraham Nhial in the Diocese of Aweil as they respond to the needs of the people. May the love of Christ sustain them and provide for their every need. May they know of His presence as they navigate this most difficult time.

Church in North Korea:
- Nowhere in North Korea is Christmas celebrated publicly. And if anyone is discovered celebrating Christmas, they risk their whole family being arrested, imprisoned, tortured, and killed. Secret believers must keep most of their celebrations in their hearts. With the current food crisis in the country, it’s difficult to imagine believers having special food for Christmas this year. They might whisper hymns and pray in a hidden place, perhaps secretly reading the Bible if they have one. Click Here for More
